2 -Organization Orthopedics at FLENI includes Inpatient Care, Surgery, Outpatient Care, Spontaneous Demand and Medical 24 by 7 by 365 Duty Shifts. Medical Care is focused on a core of subspecialties resting upon the leadership of renowned Argentine specialists who are also well known abroad. The service operates not only at FLENI Belgrano but also at FLENI Escobar. At FLENI Belgrano, the service delivers spontaneous demand services and outpatient care of Fractures, general Orthopedics, Hip, Knee, Arthroscopy, Foot, Hand and Pediatric Orthopedics. At FLENI Escobar besides the fore mentioned services, there are is also Surgery and Quick Rehab Program, the Special Skeletal Reconstruction and Post traumatic sequelae Program, Non-Prosthetic Reconstruction Hip and Knee Surgery, Articular Replacement in young Patients, Surgery of Infections and Osteomyelitis, Stretching of Limbs and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
The Academic area includes Rotation training programs for native and for students from abroad, attending pre and post graduate courses; medical-surgical forums and the development of research projects. The service provides free preventive care open to the community. The staff provides surgical and medical care. The department collaborates actively in the Committees belonging to the Asociación Argentina de Ortopedia and Traumatología, la Asociación de Medicina and Cirugía del Pie, la Asociación Argentina del Trauma Ortopédico, la Asociación Argentina de Cadera y Rodilla, la Asociación Argentina de Artroscopía, la Asociación Argentina de Cirugía de la Mano and Miembro Superior, and la Sociedad Argentina de Ortopedia and Traumatología Infantil.

4. Site Orthopedics functions both at FLENI Belgrano and at FLENI Escobar. Both building sites meet the technological and medical demands needed to comply with the required international quality standard applied to cutting edge institutions. The facilities of both buildings meet the international sanitary architectural demands required. The Institute covers Internal medicine and Critical Care, both for Adults and Children. And Operating rooms equipped with cutting edge technology for treatment of Fracture, and Arthroscopy, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, SPECT, Digital Angiography and Ultrasound, Clinical and Infectious Biochemical Laboratory and the specialized Rehabilitation Center for adults and children. 5. History The creation of FLENI Orthopedics and the Team of professionals is an initiative of Dr. Ramón Leiguarda to cover a demand related initially to the field of neurology, such as trauma, the incidence of accidentology, services in cutting edge areas such as articular replacements, bone transplant and sports medicine. FLENI Orthopedics is the result of the effort of a group of orthopedists sharing the same objectives, with expertise in healthcare, investigation and education. The group of professionals possesses a prestigious academic background, specially trained in high complexity trauma surgery and in solving complications and sequelae. There is also a sports medicine team trained to cover all sports injuries not only using cutting edge functional treatment but also applying video endoscopic surgery, aiming at athletes’ quick reinsertion into normal life.
