The anesthesiology service under the supervision of Dr. Federico Demonty has a solid nucleus of professionals with vast training in neuroanesthesia subspecialties.
FLENI offers clinical care and education in anesthesia and, the anesthesiology service is a compulsory rotation site for students of the graduate program of Anesthesiology at the University of Buenos Aires.
From the very start, this anesthesiology service has developed several protocols that were later taken as reference by different healthcare institutions all over the country and abroad and it has published scientific papers nationally and internationally.
Anesthesia in clinical patient care is involved in neurosurgery, neuroorthopedics,  spine diseases  and comprehensive and multidisciplinary care of  head and brain trauma in adults and children.
The pain management service at FLENI comprises specialty experts who work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
FLENI introduced the pediatric and adult cardiovascular surgery service in 2000 with specially trained and respected anesthesiologists.
