 Endovascular Neurosurgery and Hemodynamics

Chief: Dr. Pedro Lylyk
Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology Team (ENERI, in Spanish).-Dr. Pedro Lylyk Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology was started and developed in Argentina and Latin America in 1989. Since then, over 1500 patients with aneurysms and over 200 arteriovenous malformations were treated and 500 angioplasties were performed, among other less frequent conditions.
Our Mission To improve patient life quality and deliver the best and less invasive vascular treatment of scientific, medical and technological excellence. High Technology for Maximum Outcomes Since ENERI was created its objective has been to provide leading edge, emerging clinical applications of technology to top scientific minds. In line with this objective, ENERI has lately introduced the Three Dimensional Biplanar Digital Philips Allura Angiograph, unique of its kind in Latin America, that provides top imaging definition and allows for accurate diagnosis and treatment. This unit provides unprecedented information by integrating images obtained in rotational angiographies and delivering three dimensional views that rotate to reveal useful anatomical details in critical vascular areas. Introducing these innovative equipment is ENERI’s commitment vis a vis technological evolution to improve patient life quality. Training Work Towards Innovation. Research Work to Deliver Excellence Towards the ongoing education of professionals and paramedics and in order to develop materials and techniques, ENERI has a professional training and experimental animal testing laboratory. Set up to implement simulated vascular disease models this lab participates now in a research agreement with the National Agribusiness Technology Institute -Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA)-. Using in vitro models originated in the University of Geneva, the vascular human anatomy and flow is simulated to monitor quality materials and implants to be developed.
